Membership Information
Schedule:
The Men's Garden Club of
Reidsville meets every 4th Monday of every month from January -
November. Most meetings with speakers begin at 6:30 with
the speaker at 7:00. Socials and suppers usually begin at
6:00.
Location:
Most meetings are held at the
Reidsville Garden Center on Pennrose Drive.
Occasional variances of date and location are needed for field trips and social events. These changes are announced in our monthly newsletter The Pleasure Planter, when necessary.
Membership:
Our members are Men from
various backgrounds who all share a love of gardening and call
Reidsville home. Whether you are a master horticulturist or just
love to mow a great lawn, you will always find someone to share your
interest with at one of our meetings.
Ladies are now allowed to attend all of our meetings as a guest of one of our members. They can enjoy all the privileges of our club expect voting and holding office and are not charged annual dues.
Annual Dues:Dues are $25 per year. Benefits include:
- Free subscription to MGCR's monthly newsletter The Pleasure Planter
- Free attendance for member and guest to our Annual Burger Social and Ice Cream Social
events
- Invitations to our Annual Steak Supper and Annual Year End Banquet
events
- Admission and guest admission into all of our meetings with topical speakers
- The ability to hold office and join committees
Bylaws
Our club bylaws are available
here. Generally, our
club is very informal and uses these bylaws only as a guideline
to our operation. These bylaws also outline our standing
committees, and annual awards program.
